Humor? I remember, as an mc greeting 100 new teachers with a rather weak joke that I had created, but then I inadvertantly reversed the punchline. It made absolutly no sense -but they roared. That same evening at a local country club as I greeted those same teachers, almost to a person, they confided that they didn’t get the joke -I quickly responded that I was pleased to hear that they enjoyed the joke as I had obtained it from a mensa publication. To a person – they all laughed a second time. Aren’t we such predictable animals!
