Rita Report again

With the dozens of tree branches and scads of leaves scattered in the streets in this part of town, it looks more like a pack of drunk Mexican gardeners went on a rampage here before running out of tequila and passing out.
And not even a Category-5 pack of drunk Mexicans, either. We’re talking dull shears, really weak tequila, and some really lazy drunk Mexicans.
So go ahead and blame whomever or whatever for this storm, John Q. Public, I’m going to blame the Mexicans.

  1. I am not sure if you are aware of this, but there is a senate bill (786) in committee that proposes to change the charter of NOAA in such way that it would force them to stop public access to NOAA data as it would put NOAA in competition with private weather data providers.

there are a number of site talking about opposing such legislation,

  2. I have thought and continue to thisk that changing NOAA data access like that is idiotic.
So, we shouldn’t have access to what we have ALREADY PAID FOR (taxes) so as not to compete with something we HAVE TO PAY FOR (ads)??!!??
    That’s just stupid.

  3. mmmmmm
    …dozens of [downed] tree branches…
Perfect place to practice my Texas Chainsaw Massacre dismemberment techniques.
Although I do have trees, and a chainsaw, we don’t get too many Hurricanes here in Arizona, so downed tree branches are few and far between. And besides, who ever heard of the “Arizona Chainsaw Massacre” anyway?
Now, Raising Arizona. That was a good movie.
