The city of Berkely is going to let voters decide whether to call for the impeachment of President Bush. What will it achieve?
Probably about as much as the “We’re not a bunch of nutty losers so stop calling us that!” measure they passed last year.

Gee, I wonder what the outcome will be.
WHEN Berzerkely votes him out, the response can be, “Well, there were some people from Florida who were confused about the voting process and voted wrong. So Bush actually won the vote.”
As if it matters.
FrankJ: The City of Berkeley has a long tradition of voicing its opinion of national affairs through its abhorrent City Council. Following the time honored tradition of electing the most bizarre moonbats available, Berkeley is proud to show that it cares; about all the wrong things. When the Berkeley City Council at its Tuesday meeting passed a resolution calling for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney, they unanimously approved the resolution and also took a step toward giving residents a voice. The Berkeley Peace and Justice Commission will give a recommendation about whether the city should ask voters for their opinion in an advisory ballot measure. That came about as result of Constitution Summer, a national grass-roots moonbat law student coalition that is pushing for ballot measures to build momentum for impeachment. Well Frank, democracy rolls forward by the grass (smoking) roots efforts of involved and uninformed citizens like those of Berkeley. At that same meeting the Council also passed a mandate for the Democrat No CARB Diet that its citizens must follow.

And that’s the way it is in the Granola State (full of fruits, nuts and flakes).
Oh, I imagine the effects of the Kool-Aid will eventually wear off and they will discover they have accomplished nothing, as usual.
What would be unique-for Berzerkly would be taking the unique route of not advocating Moonbat causes.
Berkeley’s city government once again demonstrates the same excellent perspective on government’s responsibilities as San Francisco’s. Money to install adapters on fire hydrants so hoses used by fire hydrants in neighboring cities can help? We can’t find that. Money to hire more policemen? We can’t find that. Money to pay for sex-change operations for city employees? Money to fight lawsuits seeking to have city ordinances obviously contraty to state law invalidated? Money to run an election stating that the moonbats want to impeach the President? We have unlimited funds for that sort of thing.
Now to be fair, Barkely would have to be subject to it’s own standards. If we (Americans) decided to hold a trial against the enlightened community of Barkely, would they take it, or would they cry foul?
I know what the answer is to that. Most people who care for the US do.
People die daily because of “Berkely-esque” attitudes towards who should live or die: the fetus that has yet to take a breath of air, or the “freedom fighter” among the taliban & al qaeda groups that have commited the worst offences to human life, yet obviously deserve anyones pity and a right to live. And my air. Our air.
And the defenseless unborn child is the greater threat, in their eyes. Attack and exploit what cannot defend itself, cater to what you can’t. Between the Euro governments & the liberal cult in America, there’s going to be a little bitch fight. Who wins?
Us, eventually. But in the meantime, We all lose when we give creedence to anyone who thinks that all we ned to do is turn a blind eye to the rest of the world, and just be focused on special interest groups right here; like the way you choose to have sex is a major issue. Most people do what they do as a matter of private intimacy. But with homosexuals, apparantly, it’s a issue of how you choose to f**k, taxes and state recognition, not intimate/parental love, nor respect for God’s plan for men AND women. I never thought I needed a parade to flaunt my affinity for the females humans. So, if they’re just like me, why does the left want to call it (yet again) a right wing conspiracy?
Does this mean that, if gay marriage gets special attention, do I get special attention for having children with another “race”? That was worse than being a gay-ass sissy only a few years ago. Is the left willing to give me some money to live life out of bounds?
I doubt it. Trolls can post their verbal feces al they want, but I have yet come across anyone who would go the distance with me in person, whether they agreed or not.
I am so very proud to be straight & be truly fruitful with my loins. I really don’t deserve it, yet I look at my kids & realize how blessed I am, and this: No matter how much you think you can contribute as a as a “same-sex parent”, it takes a real mommy AND a real daddy, married or not, to fill the position of a true parent. No-one spontaniously spawned children just because they thought it was a good leverage point for same-sex parenting. Couterfiet parents cannot do it… “Heather has two… whatever” will not do it.
I realize that was kind of off topic, but if the city of Berkely gets to decide if someone in power can be impeached for having an oppsing view to their own, you & I should get the same crack at them.
Is that unfair?
