Podcast Eulogy

The Order of the Blue Square posts as follows:

IMAO podcasts are a thing of the past.
In order to properly to say goodbye to what was once a monument of conservative wit, the Order of the Blue Square, along with Shoot a Liberal, is asking you to prepare your own eulogy for the IMAO podcast. They can be of any length and should preferrably be funny, as I’m sure the IMAO podcast would want, were it still with us.
Please e-mail me at thebluesquare@gmail.com or leave a comment with the permalink to your eulogy by July 27, and be sure to tell all your blogging friends. (I haven’t set up trackbacks yet, sorry.) If you don’t have a blog, just write it up, e-mail me, and I’ll post it here.
On July 28, we will hold a funeral for the IMAO podcast, listing all of the eulogies you have written.

Personally, I don’t see what the fuss was all about. It was just idiots with microphones, and one hot chick doing some sound editing.
But go ahead & participate if you’d like.
After all, if Family Guy can be brought back due to public outcry, maybe there’s still hope for the podcast…

  1. During an EXTREMELY difficult time of my life (my father, uncle, cat, and marriage died in a 10 month period), the podcast was my weekly humor lifeline. Absolutely nothing else made me smile. I listened to every episode repeatedly and grew to love all things IMAO.US. I’m even technically in one, because Frank read part of my letter.
Before you, all I had was Scrappleface, which is OK, but you guys are a symphony of humor – beautifully and skillfully performed. God bless all of you (even Harvey). If the podcast is passed, it had a great life, and if it’s resurrected, even monthly, it will be deeply loved as the best podcast out there.
    Speaking of humor resurrected, MST3K fans… http://www.rifftrax.com .

  2. I think the death of this Podcast is by far a disproportionate response to something. I am not sure yet what, but as soon Kofi Annan condemns it I will let you know!
(I blame the death on Lawrence Simon, it’s always the Jews fault)

Don’t you realize that even with dial-up your greatest 13yr old fan MOONBUNNY would download your podcast to a cd so she could share your humor with all the right-wing deprived teens in Minnesota!! You’re destroying her mission in life by not having the podcast, Frank.
PLEASE!! Do it for the children!! They expecially liked when you were punching people.

  4. I can understand that doing a podcast would be a tough thing to do all the time.
But maybe Harvey can do a solo podcast for “Fun Facts about the 50 States”? Those were always my favorite. (Except for Frank’s samurai impersonations. Comedy gold.)

  5. By the way, I’ve always felt a twinge of pity when the new season of “Family Guy” bore an utterly liberal tilt. It’s obvious that Seth MacFarlane is trying to be as politically relevant and opposite to “South Park”, but failing utterly. (I mean, “South Park” often comes up in political discussions, while “Family Guy” is still seen as frat boy humor.)
