Stark Realization

Every once in a while, you come to an uncomfortable truth. The courageous man doesn’t run from it and instead admits it. In that spirit, I must now say that, if forced to vote for a Democratic candidate, I would choose Hillary Clinton.
It pains me to even types. Hillary Clinton used to be the antithesis of everything I stood for back during the 90’s. Still, if I’m honest, she’s the only serious (or approaching serious) candidate of the Democrat front runners. Obama is… well… nothing. He’s like they just went outside and said to some guy, “Hey, kid; you got a nice smile. Want to be president?” He’d be a complete roll of the dice to the known evil that is Hillary. And, of course, Edwards is a prissy little girl in a man’s body. To clarify, I don’t think he’s gay as he’s still at the stage where he thinks boys are “icky.” We have rough men out killing the enemy as we speak; they’ve been through a lot, and they don’t deserve a preening sissy as their leader.
So, if I had to choose one as president, I’d pick Hillary Clinton. Luckily I don’t have to choose one, and none of you can make me.
Anyway, current polls finally have Obama getting competitive with Hillary, while Edwards is far behind (and also behind Gore if he’s in the race).

  1. You have to admit, Hill’s the manliest one on stage. And her track record indicates that she would screw up any legislation that she would push so bad that it would never pass anyway. Is it possible for the lesser of two evils to be the most evil one?
Also, I want to know who would move into the residence with her, the first philanderer or Rosie?

  2. I was listening to a the radio last night here in Buffalo and a local guy named Ron Dobson said that if we don’t elect Guiliani we have made a big mistake.
The more I think about it the more I think he is right. I believe that Giuliani is FDR the second. FDR used some liberal principles to the countries benefit, just as Giuliani did in New York.
I hate his stance on abortion and gay marriage (and the borders, maybe), but I think he is good.
I would love to see Thompson on the VP slot, but I don’t think that he is electable in the general election.
Even the best Dem candidate, which I agree is Hillary would be terrible. She wants to push us towards canadian style socialism and socialized health care. (I was born in Canada and lived there until two years ago, trust me, socialized health care is the worst)
Perhaps some of you older guys can enlighten me, wasn’t Bill Clinton for socialized health care? And he had a majority in Congress until 1996, how did we stop it from passing.
If Hillary gets elected we will all be asking, “You can F-up a country THAT badly in four years, right”
The damage from a Democrat right now would be horrendous.

  3. Okay Frank, but what if it’s Hillary!/Obama!? That’s both of two evils.
I leave Edwards out because I’m coming more and more to the realization that he’s not running for president, he’s raising money.
His pandering to the looney left is past even parody, it’s borderline insane. Unless you realize that the nutroots can give boatloads of money and Edwards obviously doesn’t want to be stuck in that other America without the 20,000 sq foot houses.
Saying that, I’ve embraced the horror. The only thing that scares me is if it’s Hillary!/McCain and they win. Then, your campaign slogan (Because America has existed long enough) will be the most apt.
    Apt I say.

  4. A Hillary presidency is too horrible to contemplate.
She will assault Gun rights on all fronts, and before y’all dismiss me as a one-issue kinda guy let me remind you that our Gun-rights are the ONLY thing standing between the Socialists and the rest of the Constitution. When our Gun-rights have been whittled away to nothing, all other “Rights” will be meaningless in the face of an all-powerful Government.
I know SarahK understands. Do the rest of y’all?

  5. Hillary is simply Slick Willie without the charm. She’s interested in being President, but not in doing the job. It’s the power. She’ll raise taxes (that’s one piece of legislation that she won’t have a problem getting through Congress, although I do agree in general that she’d have problems getting her pogroms, er, programs through), ruin the military, nominate people for the federal district, appellate, and Supreme courts who make Ruth Bader Ginsburg look conservative, and run the most corrupt administration in the history of the country. She’ll also be a bigger joke among the heads of state of foreign countries than Jimmy Carter was, if that’s possible.

  6. I AM SHOCKED AT THIS INTERCHANGE!
IF WE HAVE TO HAVE A DIMOCRAT IN THE WHITE HOUSE THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE CHOICE IS KUCINICH!
HE WOULD DO SO MUCH DAMAGE TO THE DIMOCRATIC PARTY THAT THEY WOULD CEASE TO BE A GOING CONCERN. THE ONLY CONCERN I HAVE IS WHO WOULD THEY FIND TO RUN AS VEEP–AFTER ALL KUCINICH WOULD BE DECLARED A LOONY WITHIN TWO YEARS, WHICH WOULD BRING THE #2 MAN INTO THE WHITEHOUSE. I’M THINKING MAXINE WATTERS……..

  7. Well, compared to the other candidates she does have the biggest balls in the group! Once Bush gets done with the Republican Party just like another Bush we can look forward to another 8 years of the Clintons back in the White House! Does it ever fricking stop? How about Jeb Bush after Hillary…then Chelsea after Jeb then another Bush…let’s see I’ll be over 80 years old and shitting in my pants “because I can” and won’t care anymore and you young losers can clean up the mess so go for it! Good grief!
