The FBI reports that violent crime in the US dropped by 4% in 2011, a year where gun sales rose 10%.
I’m sure it’s completely coincidental, like how it always seems to rain whenever water falls from the sky.

There’s nothing to see here…just move along, pay no attention to that man behind the curtain, these are not the droids you’re looking for. It’s nothing but coincidence!!
So, in a related question, how did Obama’s DOD attempt to restrict the availability of brass (by hogging it) impact the availability of ammo? Anyone?
How do police fight crime? With guns. But, that won’t work for you, you don’t have a silly hat…or a whistle.
Easily explained by the mass amount of guns sold in the US by the DOJ “fast and furious” sale to mexican cartels who took them to increase violence in mexico and along the US border. Of course, any violence on the US side of the border involving said guns is a conspiracy theory of the tea party and never happened.
There. Gun sales up in US, and violence down in US.
So, according to math, if gun sales go up 100% next year, violent crime will go down 40%. I’ll do my part. Can we start a pledge campaign?
is that like one of those “one gun a month” things? i’m not sure i can afford that many, but i’ll try.
Is this supposed to be one of those super-surprising things that actually make sense, like when “Crime rate drops, but prison population rises” is in the news and baffles certain people.
