Growing up, I read Bambi, and Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. I saw both Disneys after reading the actual stories. I say actual, because the original stories had nothing in common with the movies except some of the character names. Running into that at age 12 or 13, kind of ruined Disney for me.
If he’s bringing up Pocahontas, how about the opening scene displaying a Union Jack, which would not have existed until Queen Anne?
