There is no substitute for a warm glow of an incandescent bulb, and I deeply resent government telling me that having my house lit like some ghastly factory is “necessary” in order to save the planet.

Don’t smash them in your house, the EPA will turn it into a superfund cleanup site with all that mercury.
And why do I have to read this in a foreign newspaper? That was my thought; I checked Fox and nada. Somebody needs to get with it–good catch, Harvey.
I found that CFL light bulb restrictions and plastic bag bans get me even more angry than the more catastrophically stupid decisions made by politicians. Perhaps that makes me selfish but less so than those who want their stupid bans forced on everyone.
