Once again, I am validated in my choice to check out of the X-Men franchise years ago.
I had a subscription to X-Men for years as a kid. Except for a stretch where the art was angular and hurried looking, I liked it a lot. Tons of good stories. My friends and I used to wish there’d be a cartoon or movie about them. When we got our wish we were mostly disappointed.
There was a Marvel/DC team up with X-Men and the Teen Titans some time in the mid ’80s. My guess is that when the movie franchises are really desperate, they’ll ruin that too.
My basic rule for all of these movies is that I’ll catch them when they come around on basic cable.
