Welcome friends we have Group A in the books and now we move on to Group B.
Here are our lovely contestants.
- Wonder Woman – Gal Gadot
- Black Widow – Scarlett Johansson
- The Wasp – Evangeline Lilly
- Captain Marvel – Brie Larson
- Jessica Jones – Krysten Ritter
- Bat Girl – Yvonne Craig
- Super Girl – Helen Slater
- Electra – Jennifer Garner
You will notice over the course of the competition we will be showcasing the Ladies both in and out of character.
Here is the schedule for week One.
- 10:00 am Wonder Woman vs Black Widow
- 2:00 pm The Wasp vs Captain Marvel
- 6:00 pm Jessica Jones vs Bat Girl
- 8:00 pm Super Girl vs Electra
It’s Gal, not Gail, who we are waiting for, and, for those keeping up, Jessica’s surname is Jones.
My early predictions:
Scarlett Johansson 7-0
Gal Godot- 6-1
Jennifer Garner 5-2
Evangeline Lilly 4-3
Krysten Ritter 3-4
Helen Slater 2-5
Yvonne Craig 1-6
Brie Larsen 0-7
Edit: I don’t know why, but I confused Batgirl from the 60’s series with the current CW series Batwoman who is played by Ruby Rose. Now that my confusion has cleared, I think Ms. Craig will finish fifth, ahead of Kristen Ritter, with a 48% chance of coming in ahead of Evangeline Lilly.
Fixed the error. Late night posting clouds the mind sometimes.
Oh, and no wagering please. This is for sporting purposes only. Although we could make book on these things…
No wagering? Great.. Now you tell me. You know, Cross-Eyed Joey in the back room of El Skeezo’s Liquor Emporium is not exactly the easiest guy from whom to get a refund.
Elodie Yung was a better Electra than Jennifer Garner, imho
Anyone voting for Brie Larson should be punched like the filthy hippie they are.
And Yvonne Craig has Original Trek Cred going for her.

This selection of superheros targets most of my weaknesses. My official vote is most of the above.
If you’re accepting suggestions for future categories, might I suggest “cops and detectives” and “doctors and nurses.”
Thank you for your suggestions.
Delighted to be of possible service.
And since you were silly enough to indulge me, let me toss in a few suggestions: Angie Dickinson, Julie London, Heather Locklear, Stephanie Zimbalist, any of Charlie’s Angels, Loretta Swit, Gates McFadden, Amy Brennerman, Stana Katic…
I’ll stop now and adjourn to my bunk.
Thanks again. When I did this elsewhere I was trying for 64 groups to be the base for the actual tournament. Lots of good looking out there. I that was 15 years ago.
