I voted for the extra-creepy Trevelyan, but I really couldn’t choose. Brosnan certainly seems to have attracted the most challenging villains.

Remember how Eliot Carver was a news media magnate, in a film that came out in 1997? How one of the scenes demonstrating his business involved him blackmailing a prominent politician for favorable legislation, then releasing the story about his adultery anyway? In 1997?
I don’t remember for sure, but based on current media trends I bet there was a great deal of concern about a major blockbuster portraying the press as the enemy of the people. In 1997.
I’d vote for whoever cast Brosnan.
