Some artists only have one really big hit. T. Rex went top ten in 1972 with this one. Three other songs hit the Hot 100, but none made it higher than 67.

    • T. Rex had four songs hit the Billboard Hot 100.

      “Ride A White Swan” (b/w Summertime Blues) (Blue Thumb 121) hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week ending 23 January 1971, and peaked at number 76 on 13 February 1971, spending 6 weeks on the chart. The artist credit on the single was “Tyrannosaurus Rex” and not “T. Rex” as they became more popularly known.

      “Hot Love” (b/w One Inch Rock / Seagull Woman) (Reprise 1006) hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week ending 8 May 1971, and peaked at number 72 on 5 June 1971, spending 6 weeks on the chart.

      Their only Top 40 hit, “Bang A Gong (Get It On)” (b/w “Raw Ramp”) (Reprise 1032) entered the Hot 100 on 1 January 1972, spending 15 weeks on the chart, peaking at number 10 on 3 March 1972. It spend two weeks at number 10.

      The final single of T. Rex to hit the Hot 100 was “Telegram Sam” (b/w “Cadillac”) (Reprise 1078) hit the Hot 100 on 22 April 1972, and peaked at number 67 on 14 May 1972, spending 6 weeks on the chart.

      The earlier singles under the credit name of Tyrannosaurus Rex did not chart in the U.S.

      • Technically they haven’t been inducted yet. The ceremony will not occur until November. Besides, they didn’t induct the Beatles until the THIRD year. Oh, and Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself.
