I remember first hearing this as a small child, growing up in the Caribbean. I stood, mesmerized and speechless, staring at the radio, wondering, “who…?” “what…?” blown away by the “krazy” melody and harmony (lol)!
I had the same reaction. We were all so innocent then.
What blew me away as a kid was Louie, Louie by the Kingsmen. Didn’t understand what they were saying then and don’t understand what they are saying now.
