You Can Get Bacon in a Vending Machine at an Upstate NY Smokehouse

Saratoga Living reports Oscar’s Smokehouse, a family-owned specialty meat and cheese shop in Warrensburg, N.Y., has launched a new refrigerated vending machine featuring hickory bacon, 3-year-old cheddar cheese, smoked pork chops, sausage, and more. The prices are the same as they are inside the store, giving customers a 24/7, contactless option for meats after stores, including Oscar’s, reduced hours due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We were a little bit hesitant because we had never seen meats or anything like that in a vending machine, so we tried it and it’s actually gone very well,” Quintal said.

The Ohio State University also generated buzz in 2018 when it teamed up with the Ohio Pork Council for an all-bacon vending machine to help students power through finals.

They’re getting news coverage about it, stupid bloggers are going to their Website and registering and then writing up about it so that others can go to the Website…
Um.
I think I’ll just go eat some bacon. Which is really what they wanted all along. But that’s okay. It’s what I want too.
